Official says Russia, Turkey in talks on long-term gas transit deal

MOSCOW, Jul 30 (PRIME) -- Russia and Turkey are discussing a long-term agreement on gas transit across the territory of Turkey, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Friday after a meeting of an intergovernmental commission.

"We have discussed the situation with fulfillment of our largest projects in detail today: this is construction of the TurkStream pipeline and, correspondingly, fulfillment of a transit agreement across the territory of Turkey," Novak said.

He said that Gazprom, its export branch and Turkey's Botas formed a workgroup to discuss the terms of the long-term gas transit agreement.
